A Structured Pathway for Continued Professional Growth
ARCH Certification is designed for professionals and organizations incorporating equine-assisted and nature-based approaches into their work.
Through training and practice with the ARCH Story Framework, you’ll deepen your facilitation skills, earn recognition for your ARCH training and professional qualifications, and become part of a Certified Community of Practice where experienced professionals continue learning from and uplifting one another.
Certification is not where the learning ends. It connects you with a professional community committed to continued growth, thoughtful practice, and learning together.
Two Pathways to ARCH Certification
ARCH Certification is available for both individual professionals and organizations integrating the ARCH Story Framework into their equine-assisted and nature-based practice.
ARCH Certified Professional
For qualified professionals who want to earn an ARCH professional designation recognizing their training in the ARCH Story Framework and continue developing their practice within the ARCH Certified Community of Practice.
ARCH Certified Program
For organizations that want to develop a shared foundation in the ARCH Story Framework across their team and receive recognition for their program’s integration of the ARCH approach. Build a common language and philosophy for your team while creating an ongoing pathway for professional development, shared learning, and continued growth.

ARCH Certification builds on the professional education, training, and experience you already bring to your work.
To become an ARCH Certified Professional, you must be a qualified professional actively practicing in one of the following areas of specialization:
- Mental & Behavioral Health
- Coaching
- Education
- Equine Professionals
- Organizational Development
ARCH Certification does not replace the professional qualifications required within your field. It recognizes your additional training in the ARCH Story Framework and its application within your professional practice.
Not yet eligible for certification? You can still become an ARCH member, participate in ARCH training, and earn certificates of completion for individual courses and workshops.
Your Learning Pathway to ARCH Certification
Follow the steps below to complete the training and requirements for ARCH Certification.
ARCH Certified Professional: Complete the pathway as an Individual ARCH Member.
ARCH Certified Program: Join as an Organizational ARCH Member and have at least two members of your team complete the certification pathway.

Complete the ARCH Foundation Course: The SEEN™ Keystones
Self-guided online | Approximately 9 hours | Included with membership | Provides 9 continuing education hours for mental health professionals

Complete Healing Culture through a Trauma-Informed Lens
Self-guided online | Approx. 3 hours | Included with membership

Complete the SEEN Through Story Workshop
2-day live, interactive online workshop | 10 CE hours | $425 USD (Member and early registration discounts may apply)

Complete the SEEN Through Horses Online Courses
Self-guided online | For practitioners working in equine settings | Approx. 12 hours | Included with membership

Attend the SEEN Through Horses Workshop
2-day in-person workshop | 12 CE hours | $750 USD (Member discounts may apply)

Apply for ARCH Certification
Individual application: $175 USD | Program application: $375 USD | Applicants must be qualified professionals actively practicing in an eligible area of specialization, as outlined above.

Certification Costs at a Glance
ARCH Certified Professional: Approx. $1,650 USD. Includes ARCH membership, required training and workshops, and the $175 certification application fee.
ARCH Certified Program: Approx. $4,525 USD. Includes Organizational ARCH membership, required training and workshops for at least two team members, and the $375 certification application fee.
Estimated using regular registration rates. Member, organizational, early registration, and other available discounts may reduce your total cost. Travel and lodging for in-person training are not included.
Keeping Your ARCH Certification Active
ARCH Certification is renewed annually through continued professional engagement and active ARCH membership.
To maintain your certification each year:
- Keep your ARCH membership active.
- Participate in at least 3 hours of Certified Community of Practice calls.
- Complete the annual ARCH Certification renewal form.
There is no additional certification renewal fee. Community of Practice calls are included with your ARCH membership.
Ongoing participation in the Certified Community of Practice creates opportunities to continue learning, share experiences, and refine your practice alongside other certified professionals.

Earning ARCH Certification is an accomplishment, and your learning continues from there.
One of the most distinctive benefits of ARCH Certification is becoming part of the ARCH Certified Community of Practice, where actively practicing professionals come together to explore real experiences, learn from different perspectives, and continue refining how we facilitate.
Bringing Real Practice Into the Conversation
Community of Practice calls are not another course or presentation. They are interactive conversations shaped by the professionals participating in them.
Members bring case experiences, questions, challenges, and moments from their work to explore together. At times, we also use virtual experiential sessions to practice applying the ARCH Story Framework and notice the nuances of facilitation as they unfold.
Learn Across Specializations
Mental health professionals, coaches, educators, equine professionals, and organizational development professionals each bring a different lens.
Rather than asking everyone to practice in the same way, the community creates space to learn from those different perspectives while continuing to grow and excel within our own areas of expertise.
We Are All Learners and Teachers
In the ARCH Certified Community of Practice, each of us brings experiences, specializations, questions, and ideas that others can learn from. Your voice and perspective are an important part of the community.
By sharing what we are learning in our own practice, we learn from one another, see new possibilities, and keep our work fresh and energized. We believe we are stronger when we grow together.
Certified members participate in at least three Community of Practice calls each year and facilitate at least one call every two years, helping shape a community where everyone has opportunities to contribute and learn.
